Saved steps
Save a configured step once and reuse it everywhere: personal or workspace-shared, dragged from the palette's Saved tab like any block.
A saved step is a step with its configuration — your Slack message to the right channel, your standard extraction schema, your error-handling defaults — reusable from the palette like any block.
Save from a configured node; name it for what it does, not what it is.
Saving
Configure a step until it's right, then save it from the node (the bookmark control). You choose:
- Name and description — "Post to #ops with @here" beats "Slack message".
- Icon and label — optional, so the palette tile reads at a glance.
- Personal or workspace — personal steps are yours; workspace steps appear in every teammate's Saved tab.
Reusing
The palette's Saved tab lists them; drag one out and it lands fully configured — connection binding included, if the step had one and you're allowed to use it. Edits to the dropped copy don't touch the saved original.
Editing and removing
Manage saved steps from the Saved tab — rename, re-describe, re-share, or delete. Deleting a saved step never affects the copies already on canvases.
FAQ
Do saved steps update everywhere when I change them? No — they're templates, not references. Copies are independent once dropped.
Can I share one connection-bound step with the team? Yes, if the connection itself is workspace-visible; a teammate without access to the connection is asked to pick their own when they drop it.
