Notion is where teams keep the record: the CRM database, the meeting notes, the weekly report. MadMax keeps those records moving without anyone copying and pasting. The useful shape is simple: something happens elsewhere (a form, an email, a Slack thread, a Stripe event), an AI agent turns it into clean properties, and a row appears in the right database with a page body already written. When the content is going into a shared workspace, the run can pause and let a person approve the draft first. Describe it in plain English and MadMax plans the steps, asks which Notion connection to use if you have more than one, and tests the create step on real upstream data before it writes anything.
What teams build
- A webhook from the website form runs an extract agent for company, role and intent, then
create_pageadds the lead to the CRM database with those properties and emails the owner a link to the row. - An email trigger receives a meeting transcript, an agent summarizes decisions and action items, and an approval step emails the organizer the draft; on approve,
append_blockadds the summary to the meeting page and one task page is created per action item. - A Friday schedule runs
query_databasefor projects marked At risk, a loop reads each one, an agent writes a status brief for Slack, andupdate_pagestamps each page's Last reviewed property.
How it connects
Click Connect on the Notion card and pick the pages and databases MadMax may access in Notion's consent screen. Notion gates access at share time rather than with OAuth scopes, so if a database is missing later, share it with the integration inside Notion. A private integration can paste an internal integration token (ntn_…) instead. Properties and blocks are passed as JSON shaped the way Notion's API documents them, and the AI writes those objects when it builds the step. Each Notion step chooses its connection in the Inspector; see managing connections.
